Bakery of the Year 2017 with wide range of breads, savouries and pastries and an award- winning coffee shop with tasty traditional food made with locally sourced ingredients. Located in the heart of the lovely the market town of Ballycastle this bakery has been serving locals and visitors for 40 years.
As one of the few remaining home bakeries that still baking in house every day, we pride ourselves in the use of only the healthiest ingredients.
Though we produce an extensive range of produce including ethnic/European origin (croissants, Ciabatta bread), the core of our products is traditional Irish in nature with a Scottish influence such as Fadge (potato bread), Bannocks (oven soda) and Slims (griddle teascones) along with the new low GI multi seed loaves and Donnelly’s unique “Dalriada Loaf” (no yeast, no sugar, no flour) for the health conscious. Our products are all hand made by our own master bakers with an emphasis on using local ingredients.
Upstairs from the bakery shop you can enjoy fresh home made soup and lunch specials served with a smile. Using local suppliers and seasonal produce the coffee shop has won awards such as the HDCA “Best Breakfast Award” and “Menu of Ulster”, recognition of the care we put into the food we make and serve.
