Visit WebsiteLocated at the end of the Dark Hedges, you’ll find the Dark Hedges Estate with 3 bars, 2 restaurants, 16-bed hotel, Georgian mansion, Game of Thrones door and an 18 hole golf course.
Attracting thousands of tourists every week, the Dark Hedges are one of the most photographed locations in Europe. The Stuart family planted this beautiful avenue of beech trees in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their home, Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become known as the Dark Hedges. The Estate located at the end of the tree lined avenue has been reconnected with it’s roots to create a new and ambitious venue, who over the next 5 years we are aiming to become one of Northern Ireland’s most desired destinations.
The Hedges Hotel – is the perfect destination to stay and explore the area. The active adventurers will revel in the walking and cycling trails with terrains to suit all capabilities and the North Atlantic waters are a veritable playground for surfers, sailors, kayakers and those brave enough for coasteering being situated only 7 miles from the coast. The hotel offers 16 modern and spacious ensuite bedrooms that accommodate a full occupancy of 41 residents. The Scullery Bar and Restaurant which overlooks the countryside takes traditional cooking values and gives them a modern twist. A selection of home-style dishes are freshly prepared by our chefs using the best, most delicious produce we can find, from as close by as possible. With live music most Saturday nights it’s a hidden gem for a weekend break.
The Belltower Bar and Restaurant, which is home to the 7th Game of Thrones Door, is situated on the edge of the golf course and is open to both golf members and non-members. Recently refurbished with modern interiors, welcoming staff ensures this space is perfect for any occasion. Our chefs select and prepare the finest local produce for each dish and cook it to the highest standard. Such pride is taken the Belltower produce their own Jams, Chutneys and Chocolates from the Chef’s kitchen. Local food tours use the Belltower as a destination stop for this reason, highlighting the wealth of locally produce available in the Causeway Coast and Glens. Adjacent to the Belltower is the Pantry – the newest multi-functional venue has recently been used for corporate events and Weddings given the appeal of its exposed beams and white washed walls.
