Come along on this 2-hour walking tour of historic Ballymena delivered by a locally-born guide and hear the 1600 year history of the town and surrounding area.
Ballymena known as the Gateway to the Glens is just 15 miles from the Causeway Coastal Route, close to iconic Game of Thrones filming locations and a stone’s throw from Slemish mountain where St Patrick tended sheep whilst a slave. Hear the story of the Seven Towers, tales of feudal lordships, of deals with the devil, the headless horseman, ancient monastic settlements and the 1798 Rebellion, along with the more recent history of this busy market town and popular shopping destination.
The tour will run from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
Cost is £10 per person.
